Hi guys ! How are you doing today ? I hope you are all doing well .

Here in Italy the situation has definitely got worse and we are approaching the second lockdown situation . I always want to create a little escape ,something light and easy for you to read ,some sort of escapism . But I also want to address to you how important it is our mental health ,not only during this situation but especially .  It is not easy to deal with something so difficult and strange ,that nobody has ever dealt with. So my words are probably useless and not helpful at all but sometime I think just the tough of not being alone is the best help. Keep in mind we are in this shitty situation together ,you are not alone and if you need someone to talk to ,think of me as a friend.

We are all gone get trough this .

One of the most important thing I would do and recommend to do ,is to create your own schedule. Starting every morning or the evening before going to bed ,reach out any kind of piece of paper and a pen and just write. Writing down a program help your mind having focus and staying on track ,it gives you purpose . That is one of the most important feeling ever as human being . We have to feel like we are doing something otherwise we feel lost and useless and that is a bad road to be on ,especially during this difficult time.

I have find myself feeling lost too even tho I have to get up early every morning and go to work ,but as much as important it is in the week days is still so much important in the weekend ones . Just because I tell myself “whoa I have two free days !” that does mean I do not schedule my free time too. It is crucial to me and in my spare time I like to take it easy but i try to not stay gin bed or in the house all day .

Three key element to me are : going out for a run or a long walk .

Just to stay out a few hours help me not stayng on my phone too much ,breath some fresh air and let me eyes feel some natural light. The perfect combo would be to go to some sort of museum but since the Covid situation is difficult ,we do what we can.

Eat healthy food ,even better if cook it.

Cooking to me is some sort of stress relief ,it helps me focus and concentrate on something that is practical and make me feel like I have accomplish something that I also gonna enjoy so much after. It is one of my favorite hobby ever ,I love how food and the way we prepare it reflect how we feel towards ourself . I would recommend  this activity.

Taking time for yourself and be gentle .

In particular the blogpost I wanted to talk to you about a few of my favorites masks ,because yes ,during this spare time I improve my skincare routine (well ,actually I go from not even moisturize to the full skincare routine ). But when I am feeling fine I usually do two types of masks .

To be more specific…

The term pore is used to describe the small openings in the skin in which oil and sweat reach the surface from their respective glands below.

Your pores have a very important job. The hair follicle allows the oil generated by the sebaceous glands (oil glands) to reach the surface and lubricate the skin. The skin’s natural oil, called sebum, helps keep the skin supple, moisturized, and healthy. You don’t want to stop production of sebum or shrink away pores, but rather to keep them functioning normally to have healthy skin.

Typically, your pores do a great job of sweeping out oil, dead skin cells, and other gunk that may end up there. But sometimes this process goes awry. Instead of being cleared up and out of the pore, oil and dead cells become trapped in the hair follicle.

When those pores get clogged, it creates a pile-up of oil and dead skin cells in the follicle. Soon, bacteria make their way to the blockage, and the growth in bacteria causes inflammation.

Sweat pores work in much the same way. These pores allow for sweat to travel from the sudoriferous glands (sweat glands) to the surface of the skin. Sweat helps you maintain your body temperature by evaporative cooling. Sweat glands come in two varieties. The eccrine glands produce most of your sweat. The apocrine glands in your armpits and groin produce a thicker and oilier type of sweat that is prone to causing body odor.

The first one is really helping me with the all mask situation and it is by boscia. I apply this one only on the bottom half of my face ,chin and jaw line and with the exfoliation factor it helps my skin not getting so angry after wearing the mask every day for 10 hours straight. It is a peel off mask that I discovered a few years ago and although I heard some skincare guru say that they are not the most gentle for your skin ,with this one I must say I feel very comfortable and I can actually see a difference . I only use this once a week and it really improve the texture and my pores . I call it the Sunday mask cause I usually apply it in the evening or in the morning because I feel like it helps getting the dirt for all of the week out of my pores and it is really effective. I wouldn’t recommend doing it more than twice a week cause you might stripping your skin out too much.

The other gem is my all time favorite hydration mask from Origin. It is definitely a classic one, well loved and well known from the beauty community.  It is this amazing textured like butter mask. What I love the most about this gem is the lightness of it but still it is one of the most effective I have ever tried. Wearing the mask can really dehydrate your skin and doing this mask once or twice a week really help me get the hydration back . During the winter time I would usually use it also as my daily moisturizer but since I have to wear the mask it would be too much . A combo I love doing is usually cleans my skin twice ,exfoliate ,do the Boscia one and then going in overnight with this and ,waking up. on my Monday morning feeling like P.diddy.

I hope some of you find this a little bit interesting and let me know what are you favorite masks to use during this period and not only .

Take care of yourself and be gentle . I will see you soon guys!
